VAMS® Project Dashboard |
Today’s Value Analysis and Supply Chain Professionals are continually being asked to do more with less. VAMS software addresses this challenge with a comprehensive list of features and functionality to meet these growing demands. The VAMS solution provides your organization with the following functionality:
- Project Management: VAMS® is a Project Management tool that provides users with a basic application to help them set-up and manage the activities that they will need to accomplish as a project progresses through Implementation. Whether it is a Cost Savings Initiative, a New Product Request or even a Comparative Effectiveness endeavor, VAMS is designed to help manage it through your process.
- Process Workflow: All Projects should have logical divisions or phases in which specific activities and/or objectives are completed. Unfortunately, most Projects that fail do not. Logical divisions make Projects easier to plan, manage and get things done. VAMS® provides a standardized supply chain/value analysis process workflow with identifiable phases. Thus, facilitating knowledge sharing and execution of deliverables in time effective manner.
- Communications: Timely Communication is often identified as the most important element of Project Management because communication is the bridge between the Project’s activities and the rest of the clinical and management stakeholders. Yet, most projects do not have a communications plan. VAMS® works as the key facilitator of the communications plan by providing a simple and timely automated email communications system for the Project. This is facilitated through VAMS automated email messaging software which notifies key stakeholders as their projects progress through the Value Analysis Workflow. The Project Manager simply sets up an internal communications plan and VAMS manages it from there.
- Document Management: Access to Project Documentation is cited as a major cause of frustration in our industry. The reasoning for the activities and efforts that we take during Projects is often directly related to the documentation that we have been given, collected or created. Yet, most documentation gets managed inconsistently and often lost from Project to Project. Not so when supported by VAMS® because documentation of a Project’s activities in the VAMS® system provides a record of the Project efforts while the VAMS® Document Management Library function provides a consistent and standard folder system available for all Projects managed in VAMS®. This sensible document management solution enables users to post documents directly to a specific Project so that key project documents are organized and readily available to access.
- Analytics / Reporting: Project Visibility is the ability for others to understand not only the importance of a Project but also the efforts undertaken to accomplish a Project. By working with VAMS®, users have incite into Project Progress and gain a more global perspective on how, when and where to support its operation. VAMS Reporting facilitates on-demand, real-time, standard reports. Also, Reports can be scheduled and sent out automatically (daily, weekly, monthly etc…) without any user action. Users simply schedule the reports to run and VAMS will automatically attach and email out the reports as scheduled.
Implementation and Task Management: Ultimately, VAMS is an Implementation Management tool. In order to successfully Implement a Project and realize its expected benefits, Project Managers often need to rely on a Project Workplan. The VAMS Workplan function enables Project Managers to create detailed Project Plans made up of Tasks that they can create and assign to Task Owners. VAMS will then support the Project Manager’s Implementation Plan by monitoring these Task Due Dates and will send reminders to Task Owners as their Tasks are approaching due dates and will also notify both Project Manager and Key Stakeholders when Tasks have not been completed. Presumably putting an Implementation Off Track, thus delaying the expected benefits. |
